The entirety of this EP was composed after my trip to Ukraine, so it is deeply imbued by this experience.
1: "Dark Therapy".
This piece is very dark. I think that we all have a shadow in us, and rather than deny it, want to choke it, to silence it, it is more interesting to go to meet it, and that this process can be quite therapeutic, but the way to get there is not easy. This can shake, destabilize, like the beat of the track, which is very destructured.
I felt these emotions during my trip to Kharkiv, which is a city that has experienced a lot of violence. I felt the weight of history in the atmosphere of this city, but also the capacity of resilience of its citizens, who do very great things with small means. For me, it's as if the city had experienced this dark therapy.
2: "Tale for Kate (Invisible Is Magic)" (feat. Molfarsky)
This piece speaks of the power of what escapes us, of what we do not see directly, which belongs to other dimensions, but which has a very strong impact on our lives.
When we started this piece with Ollie Molfarsky during my stay in Kharkiv, something like this happened, a sort of magical connection that escaped our prism of reality, which can hardly be described in words. The result is a really surprising piece, which I think we could never have done one or the other, without this magical and invisible connection.
3: "The Secret Place"
This piece is very psychedelic.
I think that every human being has his own universe locked in him, which is his imagination, his ability to dream. The inner world of every human being is also its secret place, which is inaccessible to the other, which has its own secret, different place.
In the creation of this piece, I tried to put no barrier with my secret place, freeing myself from the dogmas of the musical composition, as much as possible.
